“It doesn’t matter how slowly you go-so long as you do not stop.”-Confucius

Well, I had to actually slow down this morning to contemplate this quote. By nature I’m a neurotic multi-tasker who whips through the day at Mach speed. But, I’ve noticed, this can be to my disadvantage.

Just last night I spent literally 1.5 hours ordering Free business cards (courtesy of VistaPrint.) It was not a complicated process, although I tend to over think things, get distracted and go off on tangents. Maybe I have a touch of A.D.D. or maybe I’m too overloaded that my weary brain is saying, s-l-o-w down and browse your surroundings a bit. Whether in the literal sense or the Google bar sense.

I have to say, I did not feel rested with all that browsing. I felt miserable. Headachy, stressed, overwhelmed miserable.

I should have been working on my essay entry for the contest which is due Friday. I should have updated my class list’s email addresses. I should have researched children’s markets for a “green” filler I’ve been trying to place.

Some days I just feel like I’m spinning my wheels and not getting any further. However, on other days I can conquer my to-do list by leaps and bounds! So long as I just don’t stop moving, right?

So, are you a wheel spinner or steady as she/he goes writer? How do you make it work?
