“…so exhilarating that it excites you and scares you at the same time. It must be a goal that is so appealing, so much in line with your spiritual core, that you can’t get it out of your mind. If you do not get chills when you set a goal, your not setting big enough goals.”
Bob Proctor, speaker, author
When I think about my really BIG goals, I do get a little giddy. Kind of like the way my son, David, retells how he unlocked a new level on Wii Mario Kart.
It’s all just so…exciting and unreal.
But isn’t that why we write? If what we’re writing or pining to write doesn’t fill our belly with cartwheeling pixies, what’s the point?
So, now that you’ve (hopefully) established a rough list of goals for 2009, it’s time to get REAL. Freakin’. WILD! Ready? Set?
I want to…
Win a scholarship to a Writers’ Retreat in a natural setting, especially near water, where I can delve into my novel again and get concrete feedback.
Intern for 826CHI as a creative writing teacher: for the experience, the referrals and my resume.
Ride a zip line through the jungles in Nicaragua: because it would be so f’in cool!
What wacked goals will you attempt to reach this year?
